About Youth Council

The Colorado Education Initiative has begun to partner with districts such as Adams 12, Alamosa, Cañon City, Delta, Mesa County District 51, and Pueblo 60 to provide funding opportunities for students and student groups to make their projects and “big ideas” a reality. The student led projects work to support students, or youth, in the applicant's school, community, or district. As part of the project, students are required to submit a year-end reflection detailing fund use to follow the grant process from start to finish.

Past cohorts have led initiatives including LGBTQ+ Awareness Week, Afghan Refugee Assistance, and Student Led Assemblies.
